Lady Sonya Purcell

          Sonya Purcell is an anointed and engaging worship leader, psalmist, inspirational singer, preacher and teacher.  She has been singing before audiences of thousands since the tender age of 4 years old.  Sonya’s passion is to encourage and inspire people to keep the faith, believe in themselves and get back to the heart of worship. 
 

           An Atlanta, Georgia native, Sonya performed with a local group, Keith Brooks and New Creation for twelve years.  She also performed with Lashun Pace, The Pace Sisters, Albertina Walker, Kim Burelll and various community choirs, gospel artists, associations, festivals and corporate functions.
 

          In 2004, Sonya relocated to Dallas, Texas and continued her passion to sing.  In 2005 and 2006, she was a top ten finalist in the Kraft Foods Gospel National Talent Search.   Also in 2005, she was featured as a contestant on Season 2 of “Gimme the Mike”, a popular television show on Fox Dallas.
 

          Sonya joined the Praise and Worship Team of the Potter’s House of Dallas and in 2010, she became the Music & Fine Arts Director and Worship Leader for the Potter’s House of Fort Worth. Sonya also became a member of Grammy, Dove and Stellar award winner Fred Hammond’s Warehouse Worship Choir, which was featured on his “Love Unstoppable” cd project in 2009. 

         Sonya Purcell has been recently featured on the title cut, Breathe Again by Gospel Hip Hop artist, Plus and on several tracks by Christian Hip Hop artist, Solom’n .
 

          Sonya Purcell continues to be a sought after Worship Leader and Psalmist for churches, conferences and festivals.  She has performed with various  choirs and gospel artists to include, Byron Cage, Bobby Jones, Kim Burrell, and Fred Hammond to name a few. 
         

          Sonya Purcell is an ordained minister and is the founder of “Circle of Love”, a ministry dedicated to encouraging women of all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds to experience self wholeness and become all that God intended them to be.   “Circle of Love” currently has chapters in Atlanta, GA and Dallas, TX.  Professionally, Sonya has over 14 years of Human Resources and Training experience. 
 

          Sonya Purcell is married to Elder William Purcell Jr.  They reside in Lancaster, TX.
